More than 200 classic automobiles and several Concept
Cars could be seen at the 2000 event of the Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach,
which also marked the 50th anniversary of the show since it's inauguration in 1950. (There was no show in 1960)
In a special showing twenty of the previous 'Best of Show' winners came back to Pebble Beach. One of six
Bugatti La Royale's in existence, and the winner of the 1966 Concours d'Elegance, had been flown in from Germany
to participate.
