Italian cars, italian cuisine, italian opera, italian fashion and blue skies were setting the stage for the 14th Concorso Italiano 1999. The honored marque this year was Fiat, which just turned 100 years. Several rare examples of this important manufacturer - like a '53 8V or a '59 1100 TV - have been on display.

The fans of Ferrari and Lamborghini found the probably biggest gathering of these cars in the West at one time. The number of Lamborghini Diablo on the field must have been close to one hundred.

Alfa Romeo, Lancia, De Tomaso, Iso, Bizzarini, Siata and Maserati have been represented as well with several, rarely seen models.

The San Francisco Opera Center presented two of their best singers - tenor Brian Anderson and tenor Lee Gregory - who gave a wonderful performance of their abilities - even in an unusual open air environment.

A 30-minute fashion show rounded out the performances on the center stage.
